| Description: Create random names for your RPG (available in English or German).
Name database can be edited to fit your needs and rules follow certain semantic rules. You can create different rules for cultures and types within these cultures (male, female, city). The names you created can be copied into other programs or simply be saved to a text file.
Namegenerator creates random names based upon certain specifications, that are included in three text files. These files can easiely be changed with any text editor (e.g. Notepad) to fit your needs. The three text files can be found in the install directory (default: "C:Program FilesNameGenerator"):
init.txt
--------
This file is read at the start of the application and specifies the two other files. You can switch between init files while running the progam by selecting Files->Init file...
languages.txt
-------------
Includes the language data. A group is specified with braces ([]). All lines after such a group are included in the group. Coment lines start with ##, and empty lines are ignored.
semantics.txt
-------------
This file contains semantic rules of different cultures. Specifics can be found in the file. Coment and empty lines are handles like "languages.txt".

Author.Erstelle zufällige Namen für dein Rollenspiel (in englisch oder deutsch erhältlich).
Die Erstellung folgt bestimmten semantischen Regeln. Die Namensdatenbank und die Erstellregeln können leicht angepasst werden. Es wird nach Kulturen und Typ des Namens (z.B. orkisch männlich oder altdeutsch Stadtname) unterschieden. Auch die Kategorien sind frei wählbar. Erstellte Listen von Zufallsnamen können abgespeichert oder ganz einfach kopiert werden.
Namegenerator erzeugt zufällige Namen nach bestimmten Einstellungen, die in drei Textdateien festgelegt sind. Diese Dateien kann man ganz einfach mit einem Texteditor (z.B. Notepad) bearbeiten und für seinen eigenen Wünschen anpassen. Die drei Textdateien liegen im Installationsverzeichnis (Voreingestellt "C:ProgrammeNameGenerator"):

Diese Datei wird beim Laden gelesen und gibt die dazugehörigen Semantik- und Sprachdateien an. Man kann im Programm zwischen den init-Dateien wechseln, indem man im Menü den Punkt "Init-Datei..." wählt und die entsprechende Datei aussucht.
languages.txt
-------------
In dieser Datei stehen die Sprachdaten. Eine Gruppe wird durch eckige Klammern ([]) definiert, die nachfolgenden Zeilen enthalten jeweils die einzelnen Blöcke. Leere Zeilen werden ignoriert, ebenso Kommentarzeilen, die mit ## anfangen.

Diese Datei enthält die Wortbildungsregeln für die verschiedenen Kulturen. Die genauen Regeln werden in der Datei erklärt. Auch hier werden leere und Kommentarzeilen ignoriert.
