Das Geheimnis des schnellen Lernerfolges: ABACUS/DieBasis benutzt ein bewährtes Prinzip, das Benutzer anregt möglichst viele Berechnungen schnellstmöglich durchzuführen. Gerade bei etwas anspruchsvollen Einstellungen tritt ein Effekt auf, der zusätzlich anregt auch schwierige Lösungen zu berechnen, selbständig neue Strategien zu entwickeln und Zusammenhänge zu sehen. Ganz nebenbei werden viele Berechnungen durchgeführt, ohne überhaupt eine Eingabe am Computer zu tätigen.
Eine Anregung um möglichst viele Punkte zu sammeln oder ein kleiner Wettbewerb kann den Lerneffekt deutlich verbessern.
