| Description: Anchor is an application debug tool dealing with memory leaks, deadlocks and application crashes. You can also use anchor to trace APIs, call stacks, modules, threads, handles, exceptions and so on. Many different views are associated together by debug events. Unlike some other debug tools which declare them to be magic boxes and treat you as a dummy, anchor helps you to understand every bit of your application.
M any special techniques have been used by Anchor, which makes it truly unique. For instance,
Anchor supports both memory tracing and garbage detection* to find memory leaks. You can clearly see when and where the memory was allocated with full call stacks.
Anchor can detect both deadlock and potential deadlock*. By walking through the RAG graph, you can clearly see how a deadlock was caused.
Anchor can trace import APIs, export APIs and even regular functions at any giving time. It also can monitor both ASCII and Unicode functions.
By using late-unbinding technique, Anchor ensures itself to be the last module unloaded from the monitored process, so that it can monitor the whole life of the application. |
