Description: The history of April foolâ€™s Day, sometimes called All Foolâ€™s Day is uncertain. There has not a exactly â€œfirst April Foolâ€™s Dayâ€?on the calendar, but the current thinking is that it began around 1582 in France with the reform of the calendar under Charles IX. The French came to call April 1 Poisson d'Avril, or "April Fish." French children sometimes tape a picture of a fish on the back of their schoolmates, crying "Poisson d'Avril" when the prank is discovered.
