| Description: JFlashPlayer lets developers play and control Macromedia Flash animations within Java programs. Animations improve the user experience and add to the professional appearance of an application.
The Flash player interface is programmatically controlled including functions: play, stop, back, forward, rewind, set loop, set animation quality, set background color, and listen to Flash events.
If the required version of the Flash player is not installed, the programmer can automatically install an included player. This makes a Java program with JFlashPlayer more widely usable since the programmer can install Flash if needed.
Developers have the option to display an alternate image (any Java-loadable image such as jpg and gif files) if the necessary Flash player is not present.
Full documentation and sample code provide everything needed to integrate this Java API. JFlashPlayer has been rigorously tested. It works in Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, and XP. It has been tested with JRE 1.3.1, 1.4, and 1.5. |
