| Description: Webroot Software's MacWasherŽ X provides security on Macintosh OS X by allowing you to power-wash your activity history, protecting your privacy online and offline. Many people do not realize that the operating system and other software programs store information about what they have done, what applications they've launched, what documents they've used, what web sites they've visited, and various other activities they've performed. Therefore, anyone else can see what you have been doing on your Mac, which raises privacy concerns. Furthermore, much of your activity information takes up valuable disk space, and recovering this space can be very beneficial to Mac system performance. Cleaning up the history of your activities can be a tedious chore of manually removing each history file or entry. If privacy and disk space are to be maintained, this process must be performed every time you use your computer. MacWasher X can automate this process for you! MacWasher X's AutoWash feature will automatically clean up whatever tracks you want removed, whenever you want. The improved bleach feature gives you security options that can be set over 11 times stronger than even the United States Department of Defense requirements. You will find a much more detailed list of wash choices, including application suites such as Microsoft Office X and the Adobe Design Suite, as well as full customization of your Recent Items cleaning. MacWasher X adds the ability to wash the chat history files of many major chat programs such as iChat, ICQ and AIM, as well as the popular "all-in-one" OS X chat programs Proteus and Fire. MacWasher X also offers cleaning of a much wider variety of browsers, covering the new Apple web browser Safari, AOL, Opera and Mozilla, as well as the current OS X versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape. Utilizing Webroot Software's Plug-in technology, MacWasher X gives users a more robust Custom Wash feature, including free Plug-in updates from Webroot. |
